We see the Baudelaires all sail off, their boat crashed after that, they then are separated from the sibling. Does it end with a non-unfortunate event? It would explain why young Beatrice is looking for her adopted siblings - they were parted by the shipwreck. It's implied that the book sank after the events of The End. The younger Beatrice Baudelaire II searches for Lemony Snicket in the future and in the book it's implied the child that Kit Snicket had - Beatrice II - was raised by the Baudelaires on the Island and is looking for Lemony. The End, the last episode, actually comes from another book published in 2006 called The Beatrice Letters. ![]()
